Hi! My name is Heather Laraia. I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade! I have been teaching in Itasca District 10 since 2012. I completed my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Elmhurst College. I have also completed my masters degree in Reading from Benedictine University and completed my ELL endorsement from National Louis. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two kids, Rosalyn (2) and Joseph (3 months). It is my goal to provide a learning environment to every child that is welcoming, collaborative, challenging, and provides a safe space to grow, learn, and make mistakes. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher and to help them grow academically and personally this school year!
