Hi! My name is Katie Benjamin. I am so excited to be teaching second grade this year! This will be my second year teaching in Itasca District 10. I completed my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Michigan State University with a minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Outside of school, I enjoy being active by playing sports and spending time with my family. It is my goal to create an impactful and safe learning environment to every child that is determined, collaborative, provides room to expand their thinking, willing to learn, and make mistakes along the way. I am excited to be your child’s teacher and to strive to guide them to grow academically and socially this school year!
